Electric hand-pieces
Air-driven drills never rotate perfectly smoothly. For the most precise restorative work we use electric hand-pieces instead: a more exact fit between tooth and crown, veneer or filling, with less vibration and less noise.

Dr. Cynthia McNeil is a Pittsburgh native with both her degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. In 2013 she bought this office on Freeport Road to be closer to home, and she treats children, adults and seniors here.

Why choose us
When it comes to picking a dentist, you have options. Personalised, gentle, comprehensive care is our number one priority, and a few things make this practice different.

Advanced technology
Air-driven drills never rotate perfectly smoothly. For the most precise restorative work we use electric hand-pieces instead: a more exact fit between tooth and crown, veneer or filling, with less vibration and less noise.
Viewed on a computer monitor rather than a 35mm film held up to the light, for more precision, and with one-sixth of the radiation exposure.
General & cosmetic dentistry
Preventative, restorative and cosmetic dentistry, and facial fillers too. Dr. McNeil seeks the highest level of care in every part of general, cosmetic and family dentistry.
A cleaning every six months, where our hygienists find plaque and problem areas before a thorough clean, and the information to keep your smile healthy.
Dentistry that does not look like dentistry. Tooth-coloured fillings, porcelain crowns and bridges that look and feel like your own teeth.
A unique combination of science and artistry that can literally redesign your smile. Even a subtle change shows.
The lines around the smile, treated in the same office. Crow’s feet, worry lines, laugh lines and the folds from nose to mouth.
Thin shells of ceramic bonded to the front of the teeth. Misshapen, uneven, stained or chipped teeth, straighter and whiter in only two appointments, without braces.
In the office, an average of eight shades lighter in a little over an hour. Or Zoom at home, an average of six shades in three nights. Start on Friday, smile on Monday.
For a tooth with more than half its biting surface damaged. Bonded in place, they can increase a tooth’s strength by up to 75 percent and last 10 to 30 years.
BOTOX Cosmetic for the dynamic lines of crow’s feet and worry lines, and Juvederm to restore volume and smooth smile lines.
Dental anxiety and phobia
Some studies show up to 75% of Americans feel some level of dental fear, and 20% avoid care because of it. Making you feel comfortable and safe here is our first priority.
Tell us what you are afraid of. Often correct information is enough, and you are kept informed before, during and after every procedure.
Controlled breathing, or something in the room to take your mind elsewhere.
With most procedures you are welcome to bring headphones and listen while you are in the chair.
Depending on the procedure, various types of sedation may be available, including oral sedation.
Raise your left hand and we stop for a short break. You set the pace.
Knowing what will happen during treatment is often what takes the fear away, so every step is explained first.
New patients welcome
We take the time to diagnose your immediate concerns, review your medical and dental history, and plan the care that gives you the best dental health. The foundation of a long-term relationship is built at the first visit.

You are far from alone, and making you feel comfortable and safe is our first priority. Tell us what worries you, bring headphones and music, and ask about sedation, including oral sedation. You can signal with your left hand at any time for a short break.
Call the office. If you have pain or an emergency, every attempt will be made to see you that day. For severe emergencies after hours, such as significant infection, pain, trauma or a lost tooth, please call our office too.
For a permanent tooth, rinse it and put it back in the socket. If it will not go back, keep it moist in milk, water or saliva, hold it by the crown rather than the root, and do not brush it. Then contact us immediately: the sooner you get to us, the more likely we can save the tooth.
The first regular visit should be just after your child’s first birthday. It is usually short, with very little treatment, and it starts the relationship between your child and the dentist.
Any x-rays from a previous dentist, a list of the medications you take, and any completed insurance forms. Please tell us about any medical condition beforehand. Patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
